Thermal Masonry Cream
Protects masonry, brick and stonework from penetrating damp, while improving the thermal resistance of exterior walls. It also helps to provide an effective flood barrier as part of a flood resilient protection system.
Based upon the latest technology, Si-Dry is a breathable water repellent external wall treatment
that has been developed as a single component
that reacts and actively bonds to brick, concrete and stone surfaces. Application by brush, roller or spray protects walls from penetrating damp and improves
the thermal resistance of treated surfaces by up to 29%.
Preparation and Application
Si-Dry is applied directly onto exterior walls, which must be cleaned thoroughly, dried and free from contamination. Before the application of Si-Dry clean to the recommendations given in BS8221 – 1:2000 Code of practice for cleaning and surface repair.
Suitability:
Suitable for exterior brick, masonry, concrete
and rendering, where it will cure to a colourless finish, adding a protective barrier to rain and penetrating damp. This makes it helpful for walls in danger of flooding. When the white cream phase has absorbed into the masonry (typically 30 mins), Si-Dry will be resistant to light rain.
Not suitable for use on limestone.
